Further information

A deep dive into the past, when the mighty Republic of Venice built its perfect fortress: the tour begins at the underground galleries following the Rivellino route to reach Baluardo Donato, arriving in the majestic parade ground, Piazza Grande, the heart of the life of the city. This is where the artificial machines on display reveal how the fortress was built. On the square, under the watchful eye of the statues of the Provveditori, or District Governors, stands the Duomo with its majestic Baroque façade. On your journey, you will be able to perceive the mighty nine-pointed star, a testament to the engineering genius of that era.
