Departure from the designated meeting points by Gran Turismo coach, heading to Sappada – Plodn, a charming Alpine village listed among Italy’s Most Beautiful Villages, renowned for its rich heritage of traditions, culture and wooden architecture.Upon arrival, snowshoe rental and meeting with local instructors for a scenic snowshoe hike through the beautiful landscapes surrounding the village. The route will lead from the centre of Sappada to Lake Ziegelhütte, a charming artificial lake located beyond the Piave River, along the Rio Storto, surrounded by the fir forests of Bosco Digola and the slopes of Col dei Mughi.At the end of the hike, return of the equipment and free time for lunch.In the afternoon, a guided walk through Sappada Vecchia, from the Mühlbach hamlet to Cima Sappada. Along the way, you will discover the village’s distinctive traditional wooden houses, built using the characteristic Blockbau technique, a fascinating testimony to Sappada’s ancient cultural heritage.During the day, there will also be the opportunity to admire the charming open-air nativity scenes, handcrafted by local residents and displayed throughout the different hamlets, creating a magical Christmas atmosphere.Approx. 4:30 PM: departure for the return journey.
