A tour exploring Strassoldo, an ancient village that grew up around its two castles, where nature and history intertwine and have continued to thrive in an authentic setting for over a thousand years.
The meeting point is at the arch of Porta Cistigna, the ancient entrance to the Old Village of the Upper Strassoldo Castle. From here, you enter a setting that has remained remarkably intact, encompassing the Upper Castle and the Lower Castle, still inhabited by the same family that built them. The visit takes you through the interiors of the Upper Castle, guardians of history and family memories, and the centuries-old park of the Lower Castle.
The tour continues through the village surrounding the manors, with a visit to the Mulino del Bosco and the little church of Santa Maria in Vineis, significant testimonies to local rural and spiritual life.
